In-Kind Donations: How Can YOU Help?

Updated: Mar 17, 2020

Looking for ways to support the mission of Childcare Resources in a unique way? Consider giving in the form of an in-kind donation! According to MissionBox.com, in-kind contributions are donations of goods, services, or time. “Tangible goods include things like equipment, books, cars, clothing, furniture, and supplies. Goods may also be intangible, such as advertising, patents, royalties, and copyrights.”

By giving in-kind donations, you help offset agency operational costs allowing for more dollars to further our programs and services to directly support the children, families, and child care providers we serve each and every day.

Giving the gift of an in-kind donation is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. Host a Donation Drive: Consider hosting a donation drive at your work, place of worship, exercise facility, through an organization you are a member of, or anywhere you gather with a group of people! Simply print our Wish List, share it with your peers, and set up a donation box!

  2. Donate New or Gently Used School Supplies: If you have new or gently used books or school supplies that you no longer need, consider giving them to an organization that would make use of them. Our Early Learning Resource Library and Demonstration Classrooms are filled with hundreds of donated books and resources that our community early care educators use daily!

  3. Share on Social Media: Childcare Resources is very active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube! By sharing our posts on your personal platform, you can help raise awareness for agency needs. An easy way to connect us with your social media friends is by creating a Facebook Event for an in-kind donation drive and inviting your friends to attend!

By supporting Childcare Resources through in-kind donations, you play a very important role in making quality child care happen for some of our youngest neighbors. For questions or more information about how to help, contact Morgan Emahiser at mhargrove@ccr-bhm.org.
