We’re thrilled to continue shining a spotlight the amazing staff members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to shape the future of young minds in Central Alabama! Meet our outstanding Head Start teacher, Tracy Chattman!
Tracy has been a valued member of our team for the past three years, but her teaching journey spans an incredible 34 years. Throughout her career, she has inspired countless students with her knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm for learning and growth.
Her passion for education goes beyond the classroom—she is dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging environment where students feel empowered to reach their full potential.
When you aren't helping educators prepare the next generation for success, what can we find you doing?
When I’m not teaching, I love to travel, do word searches, and, honestly, still teach in some way! I spend a lot of time with my grandchildren— helping them learn, playing, and just making memories together! And when I get the chance, I enjoy a good shopping trip, whether I’m looking for something specific or just wandering around.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? ....and where are you taking us to eat?!
It would have to be a classic steak, baked potato, and fresh salad. And if we’re going out, we’re heading to Top ‘O’ The River!
What is the most rewarding part of being a teacher?
As a teacher, I truly care for, love, and respect my students. My goal is always to bring out the best in each child, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel valued and empowered. We learn, grow, and have fun together, allowing them to be themselves while also guiding them to reach their full potential.
