Childcare Resources’ 14th Annual Fairy Tale Ball Successfully Pivots to New, Innovative Format
From the comfort of their own homes, more than 100 children and families came together on Saturday, August 29 for an evening filled with magic, interactive craft activities, dance classes, sing-a-longs, magic shows, and more for the 14th Annual Fairy Tale Ball benefiting Childcare Resources, a United Way of Central Alabama partner agency whose mission is to provide information, education, and assistance to families, providers of child care, and the community.
The agency’s first-ever virtual fundraising gala for families featured an evening of enchantment and fun with a fresh and unique twist on the previous year’s events. Dressed in their best fairy tale costumes, guests enjoyed a live-streamed experience that included high-energy entertainment and dancing, breakout room meet-and-greets with fairy tale characters, interactive craft activities, and more. Hosted by Christopher Sign, evening co-anchor for ABC 33/40, along with his family live-streaming from their own home, families across the country came together to enjoy an evening filled with laughter, joy, and incredible support for the Childcare Resources mission.
“The proceeds of Childcare Resources’ Fairy Tale Ball are essential and will have a profound impact on the lives of hundreds of families who turn to us each year for support and resources, especially today as so many are navigating additional challenges that have come from the coronavirus pandemic,” says Joan Wright, Executive Director of Childcare Resources.
“So many families look forward to this event every year. We are thrilled to have found a creative, fun, and safe way to continue offering one of the community’s favorite family-friendly events.”
